As an emerging global initiative, Successful Cities provides a framework to envision a future that introduces forward-thinking policies and actions that integrate cultural, economic, environmental and social initiatives. By creating and adopting a vibrant vision that centres on Successful City attributes, Nanaimo will be well positioned to embrace the 21stCentury.
But, to ensure its success, Nanaimo needs to establish a clear vision that integrates the attributes that form the basis for a Successful City. Over the next few months, the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce will work with citizens and elected officials to explore how Nanaimo can become one of British Columbia’s most Successful Cities.
