Nanaimo Division of Family Practise - Monthly Luncheon

Nanaimo Division of Family Practise - Monthly Luncheon

It Takes A Village…
Little did they know when starting a small non-profit society 5 years ago, that it would grow to over 200 physician members and lay the foundation for community partnerships that have seen such successes as the opening of a student wellness centre at John Barsby Secondary School and a number of new family doctors recruited to Nanaimo.  These initiatives, among others, have garnered attention from all corners of the province.

At the upcoming October Chamber luncheon, Dr. Melissa Oberholster, Chair of the Nanaimo Division of Family Practice, will share this and other stories from the 5-year journey in Nanaimo and her hopes for other partnership opportunities in growing a healthy Nanaimo.  This includes exploring the economic impact and business opportunities created with the arrival of new physicians and their families.
