Lightning Talks 2: Customer Cornucopia

Acquiring a steady stream of new customers and retaining existing ones is a vital part of any successful business. The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce is once again teaming with VSP MEDIA for an informative, interactive and entertaining evening of LIGHTNING TALKS!  You’ll learn how to utilize your existing customers to get new ones, and how to significantly enhance & protect both your word-of-mouth and on-line reputation.

The event opens with a no-host bar and casual meeting time to network with your Nanaimo business peers in a lovely outdoor summer patio setting. Then, Lightning Talks II kicks off with four fast-paced mini-workshops:

– “Good Rep, Bad Rep” – Reputation Management Tips with David Hatchman of VSP Media;

– “No More Mr. Nice Guy” – Tales of Online Customer (and Faux Customer) interactions gone wrong… and what to do should it happen to you, with Renowned Media Law Lawyer, Dan Burnett of Vancouver’s Owen Bird Law Corporation.

“It’s Not Me, It’s You, You, You!” – Nick West of Enable Business Consulting reviews some take-home tactics you can use to ensure your prospective customers find dealing with you such a pleasure, they will feel a natural inclination to give you their business.

The Referral Machine – Braden Wheatcroft of Remax Nanaimo demonstrates how your existing customers can be your most productive sales agents, and how to create a process where your clients will be delighted to refer you to their friends and loved ones, who in turn generate even more referrals.

There will also be a mini workshop on how to deliver a 45-second sales pitch to your prospective customers. Then eight lucky attendees will get to test drive their pitch and have it critiqued in a lightening evaluation!

Afterwards you can immediately try out your enhanced infomercials and network with the presenters on the patio.
