Western Business Outlook 2018: Nanaimo


The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Conference Board of Canada and invite you to attend the Western Business Outlook 2018: Nanaimo taking place April 11, 2018 at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre.

Directly after the Western Business Outlook we will hold the  Chamber AGM Luncheon.

Delivered by meeting chair Kim Smythe, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce. 
 
Plenary Session 1 - Economic Outlook
The Conference Board's Pedro Antunes and Marie-Christine Bernard will provide the most detailed and up-to-date analysis of the economic outlook for Nanaimo, Vancouver Island and British Columbia, all set within a national and international context.
 
Plenary Session 2 - Panel Discussion: Boosting Nanaimo's Economic Potential
This panel moderated by the Mid Island Business Initiative CEO, John Hankins will feature Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce CEO, Kim Smythe, Vancouver Island University's President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ralph Nilson and Affirmative Financial Corp. President, Kerry Southorn. In this wide-ranging panel discussion, hear about the challenges facing Nanaimo youth, workers, and businesses-and proposed solutions.
