Monthly Networking Luncheon: Releasing VIU’s Newest Economic Impact Report

Releasing VIU’s Newest Economic Impact Report

Join fellow Chamber members on September 19th for a networking luncheon at the Coast Bastion. The Chamber welcomes Dr. Ralph Nilson, VIU President & Vice-Chancellor, as the Keynote Speaker. This will be one of Dr. Nilson's last presentations before his retirement.

Vancouver Island University was founded as a vocational school in 1936 – today it is celebrating 10 years as a university. During this period there has been unprecedented growth for VIU and the regions it serves. During his talk Dr. Ralph Nilson, VIU’s President and Vice-Chancellor, will unveil VIU’s latest Economic Impact Study results. He will share stories highlighting the critical role VIU plays in driving the regional economy and addressing societal challenges, and the impact the university will have on the future of the region, with a specific focus on how the institution benefits and supports a range of community stakeholders.

Enjoy 2 special Chamber luncheons this month for just $60! Celebrate Disability Employment Month with a presentation by VIVRS on September 12, and a new economic impact report from VIU’s Ralph Nilson on September 19 (one of Ralph’s last public presentations before retirement).
