February 2023 Monthly Networking Luncheon
The Chamber is introducing a new and exciting initiative, our speaker series! This year chamber luncheons are going to be a little different, but engaging non the less. The speaker series is a way for members to gain industry knowledge on a variety of topics. Our first speaker series will take place during our first luncheon Thursday, Feb 9th 2023. After the luncheon a webinar will be available for members to continue learning on the topics discussed at the luncheon. Following the webinar another in person presentation will take place at VIU to finish off the first series!

Introducing our Speaker
Karla Webster Gill
Karla will be speaking on current market trends and stats in investments. Doing a broad overview of Canada and BC. Karla is Managing Director and Head of Asset Management Distribution (AMD) for SEI Investments Canada. She is responsible for guiding our vision and business strategy in Canada, supporting the distribution of SEI’s investment strategies and solutions and developing customized asset management programs. With more than 27 years of industry experience, Karla joined SEI in 2006. She previously served as Director of Business Development for AMD and was responsible for managing sales and driving deeper engagement for our strategic partnerships in Canada. Prior to joining SEI, Karla was a Regional Sales Associate with AIM Trimark in Vancouver and began her career at BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1995. Karla has completed the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook, Professional Financial Planning course, and the Manitoba Life Insurance and Accident & Sickness course. Karla holds her Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS) credential from the Responsible Investment Association, Professional Financial Planning (PFP – Levels I and II) certification, as well as her Investment Representative and Registered Representative securities licenses.
