AGM: Monthly Networking Luncheon

Annual General Meeting & Luncheon on Wednesday, April 17th at 10:30 am at the Coast Hotel.
 
Chamber business will be called to order at 10:30.  Only members in good standing may vote at the AGM. If you are uncertain of your status, please call 250-756-1191.
 
Lunch service will begin at 11:40 and the luncheon presentation will begin at 12:00. Presenting sponsor is
the Centre of Experiential Learning at VIU.

About the Event:

This event is to launch a bid for your pressing or perennial business problems that require a solution, presented by teams of multi-disciplinary VIU students in collaboration with your management team. 

  1. What is one business problem you want solved in the next year?
  2. Gain access to a team of multi-disciplinary students who will apply the latest theoretical knowledge to solving your problem, led by a coaching team of a VIU faculty member and an internal person from your company.
  3. Get actionable solutions as well as a ready made team to get the job done. Solve that problem and move on to the next one!
Why Attend?

Enhance awareness of, and engagement in, co-op/internship programs, and connecting student talent to employer needs
2) Develop future opportunities for students and employers to engage directly with each other with respect to work integrated learning and future recruiting strategies
3) Develop a strong connection between academia & learning, and the workplace
