Monthly Networking Luncheon

Monthly Networking Luncheon

Join Nanaimo Community Hospice and the Canadian Home Builders' Association Vancouver Island on January 14, to get a sneak peak at the 2022 Dream Home being built in the Foothills in Lantzville by Momentum Design Build.

Kerriann Coady – CEO of Canadian Homebuilders Association Vancouver Island (CHBA VI), and Project Manager of NCHS Dream Home Lottery. CHBA VI represents over 170 member firms across Vancouver island and is the voice of the residential construction industry. Their mission is to support the industry's ability to meet the aspirations of Canadians for housing affordability, quality and choice.

Paige Karczynski – Executive Director, Nanaimo Community Hospice Society

Nanaimo Hospice is a pillar in the Nanaimo community actively advocating  for a future where every person and their loved ones can access the finest standards of hospice palliative care at end of life in a timely manner with compassion, comfort and dignity.

In 2021, Nanaimo Community Hospice Society celebrated 40 years in the community offering skilled, compassionate support, education and advocacy for those living with advanced illness, dying and bereavement. Nanaimo Hospice believes that everyone struggling with these challenges – regardless of age, means or culture – deserves support.  With compassion and dignity, our volunteers and professional staff offer free programs, resources, and education to our community where and when needed.

We are excited to share that we are undertaking our largest fundraising initiative to date, our Dream Home Lottery! The proceeds from this lottery will allow Nanaimo Community Hospice to expand it’s current programs which are in high demand and consistently have waiting lists. Additionally, it will allow NCHS to establish a foundation that will support the future of building a stand-alone, residential hospice that is highly needed in the Nanaimo community.

Here is your chance to help make a difference. We together can help our community heal after experiencing a loss of a loved one through death. We are working hard to set up the modes of support for our community as we face Covid-19. But we can't do it alone. We need your support to be able to continue on and do the good work which our community needs.

Tickets are now on sale at Dream Home — Nanaimo Community Hospice (nanaimohospice.com).

Please note that we will be taking the appropriate precautions as directed by the current PHO to protect the health of all of our guests and staff supporting the event.  In order to attend this in-person event you must be double vaccinated and show your vaccination card at the check-in table.  Thank you for working with us to ensure everyone's health and safety.
