Illuminight Nanaimo

Newcastle Community Association has dreamt up a new holiday campaign designed to cultivate community connection and find a way to celebrate together while staying safely apart. Organizers are inspiring the people of Nanaimo to "let their neighbourhoods shine" with the first annual ILLUMINIGHT!

Residences, businesses, and neighbourhoods across the city are encouraged to spread holiday cheer by decorating with festive lighting and sharing their illuminated creations on social media using the hashtag #IlluminightNanaimo.

While everyone is encouraged to light it up all season long, on Sunday, December 13th volunteer evaluators will be touring the city looking for the best and brightest to share with local media to create a guide for touring the "illuminighted" town!
