SUMMARY:Vancouver Island Export Forum
DESCRIPTION:Registration is FREE!\n\n\n\nThis year\, the Nanaimo Chamber is adding the First Vancouver Island Export Forum\, in partnership with the Young Professionals of Nanaimo\, as an added attraction to Expo. The Nanaimo Chamber recognizes that manufacturing and export traffic to destinations regionally\, and around the world\, are rapidly growing. New business supports are available to those in the export chain for both suppliers and vendors. The Forum will highlight some of these. The Island?s Foreign Trade Zone designation\, the Port Authority?s Short Sea Shipping advantages\, the opening of Export Navigator offices here\, and recent rapid growth of advanced manufacturing on the Island are all great reasons to launch the Forum now.\n\n\n\nPanelists:\n\nGeorge Hanson - VIEA (Vancouver Island Economic Alliance)\n\nFabrizio Alberico - Export Navigator \n\nJohn Juricic - Island Manufacturing Council\n\nJason Mitchell - Nanaimo Port Authority\n\nModerator: Nathan Seaward - YPN.\n\n\n\nThe discussion starts at 1:00 pm in the Lantzville Room at VICC and is co-presented by the Nanaimo Chamber and Young Professionals of Nanaimo.\n\n\n\nAt 2 pm\, the Forum highlights the Belgian Trade Commission. Our guests will encourage export to Europe by taking advantage of the new Canada Europe Trade Agreement. With trade conditions becoming more complicated with current trade partners\, CETA becomes even more attractive.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBelgian Trade Commission
