Work That Room!\n\nWhat to do before\, during and after a networking event to ensure you get the most bang for your buck.\n\nPresenter: David Hatchman - VSP Media\n\n\n\n2. Comprendo / No Comprendo\n\nHow to talk business to people who speak English as a second Language.\n\nPresenter: Gavin McConnell   Vancouver Island University\n\n\n\n3. Elevator Up!\n\nHow to effectively introduce yourself and your business in 45 seconds or less in an "elevator speech" aka "infomercial".\n\nPresenter: Nick West - Enable Business Consulting\n\n\n\n4. Who Was That Guy? How to remember someone's name when you're meeting fifty or more "some-ones" in an evening.\n\nPresenter: Shawn Hildebrandt (AKA "Zigster the Trickster")   Steve Marshall Ford\n\n\n\n5. Lightning Infomercials\n\nTwelve people's names will be drawn out of a hat and will each get an opportunity to deliver a 45 second infomercial.\n\n\n\n6. Lightning Evaluations:\n\nThe infomercials will be evaluated for effectiveness.\n\n\n\nAfter the Lightning Talks you can immediately practice what you've learned with networking in the lobby. The networking portion of the event features a no host bar and live music.\n\n\n\nADMISSION: $19+GST for YPN & Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce Members\, $24+GST for non-members\n\nLearn! Learn!
